Colombia hosts around more than 1,900 species of Birds; Quindio on the other hand got so fortunate of hosting around 500 of these. You will witness the imposing richness of the region itself.
You will begin the trip with one of our specialized Guides in nature, from 2,400m (7,874ft), where the traditional Willys will drop us off.
Along with the cattle fields into the humid ecosystem of the Andean Jungle, you will get into the borders of the High Andean forest on a steep slope that leads to “La Montaña” Nature reserve 3000m (9,842ft).
Having done a small and fast picnic, accompanied by the astonishing sounds of the forest, You will keep going into Acaime, House of the Hummingbirds, a place that represents the big efforts of conservation.
Once again, head back across the bridges that will get you into the scenery of Indiana Jones, take your time, leave your footprints, nothing else, and get back to your Hostel in Salento.
